Run The Karoo entails a weekend of trail running in the heart of the Karoo from 1-2 October 2022! Experience authentic Karoo hospitality with braais, fresh farm bread, condensed milk coffee, koeksisters & craft beer amidst picturesque sunsets. Run the Karoo is not about crossing the finish line as quickly as possible but rather about a running experience like no other.

Route information

Coming from Johannesburg:
Take the N1 towards Colesberg. From there follow the N9 towards Middelburg. Continue with the N9 towards Graaff Reinet, approximately 15km after Middelburg you will turn left into Dwarsvlei Farm. Follow the gravel road for about 2km to the race village.

Coming from Cape Town:
Take the N1 to Beaufort West. From Beaufort West take the R61 towards Aberdeen. Turn left towards Graaff-Reinet on the N9. From Graaff-Reinet follow the N9 towards Middelbrug for approximately 87km. Turn right into Dwarsvlei Farm. Follow the gravel road for about 2km to the race village.
